With his exceptional mechanical aptitude, he was able to repair just about anything, and often helped neighbors and friends without a second thought. After returning home from the service, Joe owned and operated the former Joe’s Service Station in Town Plot for many years and worked as a Machining Center Operator at Pratt and Whitney. Joe was a proud veteran, serving his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. A lifelong resident of Town Plot, he was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. Joseph was born May 9, 1929, in Waterbury, son of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Saccomanno) DiManno. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Panzarella) DiManno. Joseph DiManno, age 93 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully July 7, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
